Version 1.9.1 Released
I think i have fixed the issue of it ignoring .ini files during imagepack and template uploading.
Updated the Omega Template in the simplest way to use weapon groups and added the 3 new maps - not essential update - an i will be updating it more a little later to add in the gametype and map links.

Website updated a little bit
Version 1.9.0 Released
Image Packs updated for COD4 and COD5 - more complete now (including COD5 3 new maps)
Things changed in this release.
Image Pack upload will also now read an upgrade file along with the image pack so that image references are appropriate for it.
Default Template updated to include Map and Gametype links. See example output from main page to see the changes.
Most Wanted Template updated to include Map and Gametype links.
When you upgrade you can update the template by choosing the Upload Template Pack option in Mandatory Menu
When uploading image packs you can now optionally store them locally in your html folder.
If you have stored imagepacks locally then during image reference editing you can now see a picture of the image.
Weapon Groups
Weapons can now be logically grouped together. So that you can use weapon groups in award definitions. This makes award editing a little easier. The default configuration (and upgrade.ini) have had their awards updated to use weapon groups.
Weapon groups can also be used during skill and image reference assignments to give common values across all items in a paticular weapon group.
Enemy Territory loglines can now have a time format of HH:MM:SS and they will still decode.
Various bits and bobs fixed

Version 1.8.8 released
Fixed: Team Win / Team Loss for COD5 1.3
Fixed: Activities Logging for COD5 1.3
Changes: If you completely remove your database (physically delete statsgen2.db) and let statsgen re-create it then it will create a fixed width version of the database, this has several advantages
1) The Database is smaller
2) The database is faster to write to
3) The template processing is quicker (30% give or take)
Potential disadvantage - if the field widths are too small some items may not fit into the database - I have defaulted things reasonably large - and they can be changed by editing the statsgen2.ini file - so no bother really.

Version 1.8.7 released
Emergency upgrade to cope with the new COD5 1.3 timestamp format
This fixes the issue with the COD5 1.3 upgrade that changed the format of the timestamp on logfiles causing statsgen to fail to parse every line. The old timestamp format is still recognised as well as the new one so a logfile with a mixture of the two formats is fine.
Still to come
COD5 Activity capture (bomb plants, defuses etc) - i have to work out exactly how they are logging these because they have done something stupid
Team Win / Team Loss decode - 1.3 patch seems to put in team win / team loss loglines which statsgen happily picks up because they are identified and are in a similar format to COD1 and COD2 ... but it appears it logs each winner and loser on a separate logline as opposed to all the winners on a single log line (this is what cod1 and cod2 did). Therefore winner and loser score points only count for 1 player per team - oh well. I will fix this as well over the weekend.
BIG BIG NEWS
It's my Birthday - I am 41 years young today - thankyou Treyarch for giving me work on my birthday :-p

Version 1.8.6 released
Upgraded config file with some more cod5 weapons and maps.
FTP Downloads can now restart where they left off (default is to do this - can be switched off in the advanced server editor window).
FTP Downloads now take account of Max Log File Usage and only download the required amount.
A silly green progress bar on various Processing Steps Lines - I know it looks a bit cack and i will tidy it up but i only coded it 3 hours ago because i wanted to watch a film and see from a distance how far statsgen was progressing.
Too Many COD5 Team Kills - If you run a cracked server then GUID's for cod5 will often be the same as each other - this causes the team name guessing to go astray and assign everybody the same team (and therefore lots of teamkills) - there is an option on the server editor (advanced) screen to be able to switch this behaviour off - you will not be able to identify teams but no more teamkills will be generated. The default behaviour is to have the team guessing switched ON.
Upload Template Facility - Updated to allow for the usage of a configuration file as well - this means i can host Omega's rather stunning COD5 template.
Omega's World At War Template available from the Template Upload facility within statsgen.

| 2007/12/03 |
Version 1.70 released
IMPORTANT - Backup your old statsgen2.exe, and templates directory in case of problems
This release is the Persistant Database version. On the first run nothing will seem any quicker as it has to process the logs at least once. Subsequent runs start at the last finishing point and only newly created rounds and players are created during template processing
If you choose NOT to update your template during template processing - you must download the newly uploaded templates (in the download section) to integrate in the new features. If you don't then template processing will still be as slow as ever

My current forums have become unusable. I am in the process of getting a new forum but in the meantime if you have any problems please contact me directly on MSN Instant Messenger on nazarine666@hotmail.com.
Please stick with me during this transition, I am doing my best but I have to fit in real life along with Statsgen and sometimes Statsgen has to take a back seat.
Current queries that people have been making
Ports Ports Ports - Try changing your Passive setting on the Server Editor screen of Statsgen
Slow Statsgen With Big Logfiles - I am working on a Persistant Database method of running Statsgen this week while I have a week off work. This will make it so that Statsgen can continue where it left off.

Version 1.4 of Statsgen out.
Changes / Fixes
Sometimes ban files would not download properly. I don't know why they were failing but i have put some code in to work around it.
Some more tidying up of the "Time To Go" text
Added ability to Automatically Alias players during logfile processing. Basically it uses the GUID to work out which players are really the same person, adding them to the alias list - any existing aliases are kept as is.
You can now add the command line argument -runonce
e.g.
statsgen2.exe -runonce
This will cause statsgen to start, perform a stats run, then exit.
This is designed to be used by people who want to run statsgen on the Windows Scheduler system.

Version 1.3 of Statsgen out. This has a few minor updates but i got confused with version numbers so upgraded to 1.3 :-p.
Extra indexes created to speed up MySQL template.
MySQL compatible template released. This goes in hand with version 1.3. You must be running version 1.3 to make this work effectively.
The Default Rounds template has been updated to cope with weighted awards.
|
| 2007/02/93 |
Slight Update - I made an error in the automatic First Time Run calculation and it kept setting the default values. Fixed now.
New Template - I have made available a new default template which does not write out the Round Statistics - This greatly improves the speed as the majority of the time was spent writing out the rounds. Also as there are no rounds the amount of data to transfer is significantly less.

| A version of the BF2 Template has been created for Statsgen 2 for all who were requesting it.
|
| 2007/02/13 |
This version has some new features
. MySQL upload capable - You can now tell statsgen to upload it's database to a MySQL database server. I will be developing templates to use this shortly. It will make a huge difference in processing and upload speed.
. Skill calculation - can now have the negative effect of deaths switched off
. Award calculation - Awards can now be flagged as weighted - currently only the default no rounds template has this implemented -but next update to the full round version will have it.
. More awards added for Admiral MOD.
New Images - The Statsgen2 Image Pack has been updated with some extra images from Omega of SS Rangers. They are tobe used with the new Admiral Mod weapons and awards.

Statsgen 2 Update - Quite a few people are complaing of getting errors along the lines of
Failed to get listing of remote directory [/87.117.226.27 port 28960/main] with wildcard [server_mp.log] FTP Response [550 The system cannot find the file specified..
This is caused by the ftp server not performing wildcard directory listings properly. To fix this i have to basically ignore the error and try and carry on regardless. The new version does this. Upgraders only need to replace the statsgen2.exe file in the new zip file.

Very early initial look at statsgen 2 output
Due to work and stuff I have not been as active on this as I would have liked but I am still doing stuff. The output you are seeing is very very very very early. All the stuff that is possible is not necessarily shown as one of the bits I am working on is the default template (this is what creates the web pages).
